- The Board approved $900 for two scholarships for the Center of Natural Land Management’s bird banding training in 2020.
- The Ways and Means Committee has published a new brochure on legacy giving which will be distributed in our annual appeal letter going out at the end of November.
- The Survival By Degrees Ad-Hoc committee has been spreading the word about the new National Audubon birds and climate change report. This has included articles, presentations and upcoming tabling events.
- The Christmas Bird Counts are approaching. Publicity and recruitment have begun.
- The Education Committee is exploring the possibility of assembling classroom kits on birds.
- Olympia Youth Audubon has obtained 4 sets of binoculars and has had 2 field trips, with more coming.
- The Conservation Committee has contracted with a hydrologist to provide a detailed analysis of water level and water quality in the region surrounding land sought by NorthPoint for a mega-warehouse near Millersylvania State Park. This will be submitted to the Thurston County Commissioners.
