Description: Birding at Mima Mounds. Walk on mostly level paved and gravel trails among the curious Mima Mounds in a prairie habitat. Meadowlarks and/or bluebirds may be present, as well as other species that frequent prairies. Birding with Breakfast walks are especially appropriate for beginning and intermediate birders.
Meeting location: 12315 Waddell Creek Rd. SW, Olympia 98512. From Olympia, take I-5 south to Exit 95 (if coming from the south, take the same exit) and follow Maytown Rd. SW west to Littlerock. Go straight west through Littlerock and turn right on Waddell Creek Rd. After about a mile, the entrance to Mima Mounds will be on the left.
