Sign Dedication and Bird Walk

March 15 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am

SIGN DEDICATION AND BIRD WALK

Black Hills Audubon has created and gifted an outdoor informational sign to the Port of Olympia for their Billy Frank Jr. Trail.  A committee of Janet DeLapp, Quentin Phillips and Kathleen Snyder worked on this project.  It was installed in January in the area where the picnic tables are located.  The sign talks about the birds that one can often see from this spot using photos from Mick Thompson and a map designed by Mike Ruth of The Evergreen State College.  We will have a very short dedication of it on Saturday, March 15th, followed by a bird walk along the shoreline, led by Ken Brown.  Hot beverages and breakfast items will be provided.

The trail itself is flat and graveled.  The nearest restroom is at the Swantown Marina.
