On May 10, join the world’s biggest birding team to celebrate birds on Global Big Day.
Every May, as part of the celebration of World Migratory Bird Day, Global Big Day volunteers around the world collect data on birds and virtually report their observations to eBird. This data helps Cornell Lab, and other birding organizations, understand the state of world bird populations. More than 63,000 people gathered observations on 156,000 eBird checklists in 2024, setting a world record for a single day of birding.
Helping the Global Bird Day team surpass last year’s number of observations is fun and participation is easy. Take as little as 10 minutes to observe birds and then report your observations using a free eBird account.
