South Sound Bird Alliance is ready to welcome new members to our flock. The populations of our three counties (Lewis, Mason, Thurston) have grown but our membership has remained static. Now, more than ever, we need to reach out to birders, conservationists, educators, and anyone who is interested in our natural world to let them know that SSBA is a dynamic, effective organization that prioritizes education, recreation, community science and local environmental advocacy.
The SSBA Board has decided to sponsor a membership campaign to get our message out. This is a short term, funded campaign involving outreach, social media and other messaging methods. We have an outline of ideas but still need someone to head this effort up. If you think SSBA is an organization that should grow, I would be eager to discuss the possibilities. If you want to be on the committee, please contact me as well.
