The SSBA Board recently approved the establishment of a special fund to be used to support future SSBA education activities. The fund is created in memory of Scott Mills, who was recognized as Environmental Educator of the Year in 2019, as he left a considerable legacy as a teacher, field trip leader and guide. Scott passed recently, leaving a large hole in our South Sound community; his family and friends requested the SSBA Board approve creation of a fund that would serve to further Scott’s interests in helping people deepen their appreciation of birds and the natural world, and keep his memory alive in our community. Donations to the fund can be made to SSBA using the form below, or via check with a notation that it be directed to the Scott Mills Education Fund.
