Tick Data in Washington State

Are you and your friends, family, and pets enjoying the outdoors this summer? Keep an eye out for ticks! Ticks can be found in Washington State, even on the west side of the mountains, and can be carriers of very serious diseases. If you find a tick, you can capture it and send it to the Washington State Department of Health for identification, while reporting it via their online submission form. Instructions for how to mail the tick will be emailed to you after you complete the form.

You can also learn more about tick sightings for each county from 2010 through 2023 on their Tick Dashboard, available here: https://doh.wa.gov/data-and-statistical-reports/washington-tracking-network-wtn/tick-data/tick-dashboard
